baguettes!

There is delicious bread in Paris. You can find baguettes everywhere! Restaurants will serve a little basket of bread with every meal. We bought bread, cheese and wine to keep at the apartment, to snack on post-museum and pre-dinner. Yum!!

Since we got back, I've tried several times to make french bread. The first two attempts resulted in yummy bread, but they were definitely not baguette-like. The third time was a charm.

I used this recipe from King Arthur Flour, instant yeast and Five Roses Unbleached Flour. The ingredients are simple - it truly is the method that makes the difference.

I will definitely make these again! And soon - there is only one left. And they are much better fresh!
