sock update.

I finished the foot, turned the heel (is it called "turning the heel" if you're doing a short-row heel? for some reason I don't think so), and am now in the final stretch.... the leg!


I like the short-row heel much more than picking up gusset stitches, although the slip stitch rows on the heel flap give it nice definition. I always end up with gaps when picking up stitches, even when I pick up extras - I end up picking up a stitch in a loose stitch and it pulls open when I try to tighten it up. Arrgh! That's happened with these socks too, where the short rows connect back into the round.
